P0011 A Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1) P0014 B Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1)
P0011 I read most posts about the problem associated with that code and have the idea of what's happening but my problem is a bit different and didn't see any mention of a noise from the engine when having this code appear.
I've replaced the VANOS solenoid and cam position sensor and no help. I still get the OBDII code p0011 and BMW DTC fault code 33. Any ideas? DTC fault code refers to either bank 1 cam actuator and/or cam timing over-advanced and/or cam timing over retard. OBDII code p0011 is timing over-advanced. This is the only fault code I get.
P0011 indicates that the timing on the inlet cam is too advanced. This could indicate that the Oil Control Valve solenoid (which controls the variable cam timing) is mechanically open at all times - thus advancing the cam timing - or that the timing chain has jumped a tooth.
P0011 Is a code meaning the timing is over advanced Usually the culprit is the chain has skipped a tooth It's a code for bank 1 or passenger side of the engine bay hence why it skips a tooth there 1st b4 it skips on bank 2. Once bank 2 skips a tooth as well then ur engine life is near total lock up. The timing chain tensioner is on that side as ...
My 2002 330xi through a P0011 code. I changed the oil, as well as the intake cam solenoid and the code is back. The car runs great, no rough idle, etc. any suggestions?
My 2000 540i just started a low speed intermittent miss. It has a bad catalytic oxygen sensor so the CES light is always on. I figured though there was a new code so took to Auto Zone yesterday and sure enough, have a P0011 code now. That means "camshaft position-timing over-advanced or system...
